A stoat is hunting the rabbits — but Toad has a plan. Can Thrush and the moths lead him astray in time? Part of the Reading Planet: Rocket Phonics programme, this fully decodable early reader targets the Red B band (reading age 4–5) and focuses on the letter-sounds ch, sh, th, ng, ai and ee.

A slightly different project from my usual work — the naturalistic animal characters and textured, atmospheric style gave me a chance to stretch in a different direction from character-driven fiction illustration.
